Baldwin & Francis was proud to attend the Hillhead 2022 exhibition held between 21-23 June at Hillhead Quarry, Buxton, UK.
After an absence of four years, Hillhead 2022 welcomed just under 18,500 visitors, making it one of the best-attended shows in the event’s 40-year history. It was a wonderful opportunity for the team from Baldwin & Francis to welcome and engage with attendees looking for more information on its range of integrated electrical systems for the mining, transport, materials handling, and industrial process sectors.
The location of the Hillhead 2022 event at Hillhead Quarry provided the perfect backdrop to highlight Baldwin & Francis’ competence and experience with installing and servicing equipment in difficult and hazardous locations like quarries and mines.
“Attendees showed a great deal of interest in the Igranic Compact 33 fixed range of 3.3KV motor starters, which are used in pump, conveyor, fan and crusher applications,” said Andy Cooper, Commercial Sales Manager – Igranic. “Customers were particularly interested in the unique in-house isolator design, whereby the whole of the HV interior is earthed prior to access rather than the outgoing circuit side only.”
Baldwin & Francis acquired the Igranic control systems assets and property rights in 2021. The Igranic brand name is synonymous with high quality power solutions and services to a wide range of industries offering in-house design and supply packages from concept through to completion.
“There was also interest with regards to our 3.3KV and 11KV Motor Local Isolation Units, which are used throughout the aggregate industry for a means of isolating and earthing adjacent to an HV motor rather than having to access the HV switchroom,” continued Andy. “These units utilise a fault-make, load-break disconnector and are available in many different configurations; indoor or outdoor mounting, mild steel or stainless steel, floor or wall mounting and with or without earthing facilities.”
Igranic’s portfolio of Neutral Earthing Resistor Panels required for HV generator applications also generated discussion along with the flexibility of the Igranic range to meet a customers detailed specifications.
