Production Team Leader

The Production Team Leader oversees the production team and ensures schedules are followed to meet production deadlines. Work closely with other departments of the business to maximise productivity and ensure production operates in a smooth and efficient manner.

JOB DESCRIPTION

JOB TITLE: Production Team Leader
DEPARTMENT: Production
REPORTS TO: Production Supervisor / Production Manger
LOCATION: Baldwin & Francis Ltd, President Way Sheffield

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensure Health & Safety policies are enforced on the shopfloor at all times
• Plan and organise your workload activities relating to effective operation of your team to meet production deadlines and to highest quality standards.
• Undertake assembly and build of equipment to meet production deadlines and to the highest quality standards
• Ensure job sheets and timesheets are processed and completed accurately and in a timely manner
• Carry out in line checks to maintain quality throughout the build
• Ensure the work area is kept in a clean, tidy and safe manner
• Assist and support work colleagues when required
• Have a ‘hands on’ attitude carrying out tasks within production
• Support Production Supervisor to implement continuous improvements and build a lean manufacturing culture.

• Carry out other reasonable duties as requested

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICIATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE
• Proven experience in a similar role
• Experience of Electrical switchgear assembly & wiring
• Flexible working mentality
• Positive “Can-do” attitude
• An attitude of “continual improvement”
• High attention to detail with strong organisational skills
