Project Engineer

JOB PURPOSE

The Project Engineer is responsible for preparing, scheduling and coordination of assigned projects to ensure they are delivered on time and to budget. They will be the key liaison between the client and the company ensuring a smooth communication route.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• An integral member of the Project management team responsible for delivering projects successfully and on-time.
• Delivery of projects to agreed delivery date and within budget
• Commercial project responsibility – payment applications, invoicing and contract variation
• Provide regular updates to clients on delivery schedule
• Provide client feedback to B&F Management
• Manage all appropriate site activities
• Manage all site safety requirements including RAMS, toolbox talks
• Manage project programs and scheduling
• Attend and support weekly project meetings with Internal managers to ensure all are task driven when required.
• Monitor and manage project costs to deliver expected gross margin
• Ensure all contract variations are captured and priced appropriately
• Liaise with key suppliers where required
• Carry out other reasonable duties as requested

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICIATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE

• Experience of LV and MV Electrical panels & switchgear
• Experience of project-based organisations
• Proven experience in a similar role
• Experience of turnkey projects & site activities
• Hands-on approach
• Proficient in using IT systems, including Microsoft Office
• High attention to detail with strong organisational skills
• Pro-active attitude and problem resolution
